2020 Audi A8 Gets Additional Standard Safety Features and Tech

By Justin Cupler | September 6th, 2019

Audi’s flagship sedan, the A8, is a fantastic piece of automotive engineering, but that doesn’t mean it must remain the same in a new model year. This is why the 2020 Audi A8 will get a handful of new tech and advanced safety features, plus a handful of updated and new optional packages.

The key updates to the 2020 Audi A8 will be to its standard safety equipment, which will gain an anti-theft system with motion detection and lane-departure warning. On top of these new safety goodies, the 2020 A8 will get the Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus.

There are also plenty of upcoming changes to the options available for the 2020 Audi A8, starting with the new multicolor ambient lighting as part of the Executive Package. The A8 will also gain a new Black Optic Package that will add black exterior trim and black 20-inch five-V-spoke wheels. Finally, a new Sport Style Exterior Package will add 20-inch Audi Sport five-V-spoke wheels, all-season tires, and sport styling on the bumpers and side sills.

Other new options available with the 2020 Audi A8 will include HD Matrix-design LED headlights with Audi Laser Light Technology and dynamic all-wheel steering.

The 2020 Audi A8 will continue with a single model and trim level, the L 55 TFSI. It will carry a base MSRP of $85,200. Audi has not placed a firm date on when the 2020 A8 will arrive here at Audi of Rochester, but keep an eye on our online inventory page to be the first to know when it’s ready for our Rochester, Pittsford, and Fairport luxury car shoppers.
