Collision Mitigation Braking
The new Acura ILX’s Collision Mitigation Braking System monitors the vehicle ahead of you for speed and distance. If the system detects an imminent front-end collision, it engages the brakes to reduce impact. In IIHS testing, this feature avoided a collision altogether at speeds of up to 25 mph.
Adaptive Cruise Control
With the new Acura ILX’s adaptive cruise control, you set a following distance and cruising speed. The system slows the ILX to maintain the preset gap when a slower vehicle is in your path. It then returns to the original speed when the slower-moving vehicle is gone.
